The 2024 Thailand-Taiwan Image Exhibition successfully concluded on the 23rd in Bangkok, Thailand. The three-day exhibition attracted over 15,000 visitors and generated $63.57 million in business opportunities. The event focused on three main areas: smart manufacturing, smart healthcare, and circular economy. Key corporate buyers included Charoen Pokphand Group, SCG Chemicals under Siam Cement Group, BJC Group, large auto parts manufacturer ASI, Bangkok Christian Hospital, and JSP Pharmaceutical Manufacturing.
In recent years, Thailand has become an important manufacturing hub in ASEAN due to supply chain shifts, boasting a diverse industrial structure with outstanding performance in automotive manufacturing, electronics, food processing, and tourism, making it a "golden land" for industry investment.
To achieve net-zero sustainability goals, reducing carbon emissions during production processes is a critical challenge for all manufacturing industries. Taiwanese companies’ diverse management solutions have been recognized by Thai buyers. Hiwin's potential to assist enterprises in rapid energy digital transformation garnered attention from several Thai system integrators and local businesses during the exhibition, indicating promising future business opportunities.
AiT extends zero-carbon data and verification collaboration cloud services, and they reported substantial gains from the exhibition. In addition, ECS Material Technology showcased a sunscreen film product with more than a million nano-ceramic infrared blocking particles, absorbing over 90% of near-infrared radiation heat, lowering indoor temperatures by an average of 4.7 degrees Celsius, and providing energy savings of over 18% to 36%. This product attracted significant interest from Thailand’s top three glass manufacturers, construction companies, hospitals, and car manufacturers.
Jiedeng International’s water treatment equipment and non-toxic, multi-functional cleaning agents effectively address the issue of hard water and scale formation in Thailand. During the exhibition, they negotiated with a four-star R Hotel in Thailand to introduce hotel water quality improvement solutions and non-chemical cleaning products.
Furthermore, the demand for smart medical technology and services in Thailand is steadily increasing. Sandi Biotech, participating for the first time, focuses on developing platforms for human tissue and organ reconstruction and high-end personalized medical devices. They successfully signed a three-year supply order with a Thai agent, estimated to bring $450,000 in business during the contract period.
BioCode's circulating tumor cell staining reagent kit and semi-automated platform also signed a memorandum of cooperation with ATGenes, a Thai biotech company. Both parties intend to collaborate further in the future to introduce BioCode's products into Thailand’s genetic testing market. Furen Company's smart sensing mattress attracted local medical equipment suppliers, with Thai businesses planning to introduce it into medical institutions. The first batch is expected to procure 100 mattresses, which will rapidly apply the technology to more products and expand the market scale in Thai medical institutions.
